About The Principal

Mrs. Kalpana Singh has over thirty three years of valuable experience in academics, including almost ten years as the Principal of a leading school of Lucknow, and twenty four years as the Founder Principal of Gurukul Academy.

After completing her schooling from La Martiniere Girls, Lucknow, she did her post graduation in English literature and B.Ed before embarking upon a distinguished teaching career.

Under her able leadership as the Principal of City Montessori School (Mahanagar New Building) the school achieved excellent ICSE and ISC results for which she was awarded the prestigious ‘Sansthan Bhushan’ award in 1996 by the former Governor of Uttar Pradesh, His Excellency late Shri Moti Lal Vohra.

Mrs. Singh is the Founder Principal of Gurukul Academy and in 24 years has ensured not only the best academic results but also that students grow up with a strong value system and self- discipline .It is because of this that the school is rated amongst the best ten schools of Lucknow.
